The lease line is the starting point
Most managed centres clean the mall floor, common amenities, back-of-house corridors and the waste room, and recover the cost through outgoings. The tenant is responsible from the lease line inward. That sounds simple until you reach the shopfront glass, the entry threshold, the security shutter track and the tenancy's section of the back-of-house corridor, all of which are frequently assumed to be somebody else's job.
Reading the lease and the centre's rules resolves most of it. What remains should be settled with centre management directly rather than by assumption, and then recorded in the tenancy scope. A single sentence naming who cleans the shopfront glass, inside and out, saves a recurring conversation and prevents the outcome where the glass is either done twice or, more commonly, not done properly at all.
